For July, you will find information about:
- SEND Services team restructure – things are going to plan and you can find new contact details for the new teams at
- SEND event - there’s a free event at The Hive on 7th August, with activities for children and young people, SEND information stands and workshops.
- Free audiobooks – Calibre Audio provide free audiobooks to children and young people under 25 years with SEND.
- Support for those waiting over 2 years on the ND pathway – support is coming for those who have waiting more than 2 years for a neurodevelopmental assessment.
- Parental blame – we joined up with parent carers to deliver a workshop to professionals about parental blame in autism and SEND.
- Short breaks – we’re going to be reviewing how we provide short breaks to see what’s working well and where improvements can be made.
- EHCP quality assurance – our annual ‘You Said, We Did’ report has been published that shares what people have told us about the quality of EHCPs and what we’re doing about it.
- Quality checks – we’ve been working with parent carers to understand what should be included in our quality checks – particularly the checks we do on EHCPs.
